Denise came to real estate from a 12-year career as a management consultant for high tech firms in Silicon Valley. The organizational and analytical skills that she gained in this profession are invaluable to Denise and her clients today. Honors Denise recently received the highest honor that can be bestowed on a Realtor. She was named Realtor of the Year for 2005. Denise is consistently a top producer who has been repeatedly recognized for her outstanding record both by the local association as well as nationally by not only Re/Max but Coldwell Banker and Prudential. She holds several professional designations including but not limited to ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative), CRS (Certified Real Estate Specialist), SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist), QSC (Quality Service Certified) and PMN (Performance Management Network). Additionally, because of her years of travel and extensive work in relocation she has been awarded the Residential Relocation Certification. Denise uses her leadership skills in helping to maintain high real estate standards in San Mateo County. She served on the Board of Directors for the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® for 9 years and is past chairman of that organization's Technology Committee. She also participated on the Board's Education Committee, Special Events Committee, By-Laws Committee and Foundation Committee to name a few. For 2007 she has been appointed to several committees for the California Assn. of Realtors and serves on the housing committee for the National Assn. of Realtors.
Listed for the past thirteen years in Who's Who of Businesswomen, Denise was the 2003 President of the San Mateo County Women's Council of REALTORS® and is a past state officer for Women's Council of Realtors, specifically as a District Vice President and California WCR Parliamentarian. Personal Information Denise has lived in the Bay Area for the past 33 years where she and her husband have raised their two children. She holds a degree in Business Administration and graduated with honors in the top 2% of her class.
Denise has done more than her fair share of relocating during her life. The child of a military family, she lived both in Europe and in various locations throughout the United States. "I certainly have a lot of empathy for those who are relocating," says Denise. "I understand what they are going through and strive to make all relocations, no matter how long distance, stress-free and easy."
Denise was named Sportswoman of the Year for the Bay Area in 1995. She and her family are very sports-oriented. They enjoy most outdoor sports but are especially fond of soccer. Denise is the Founding Commissioner for AYSO Soccer in her community and also coached the girls varsity soccer team at Half Moon Bay High School for many years. She, herself, plays soccer but Denise admits a special love of different sport. "I'm a die-hard 49er fan," confesses Denise. Memberships Denise is a member of the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS®, the California Association of REALTORS®, the Women's Council of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. All of these associations uphold a strict code of ethics and ensure that their members are up to date on the latest marketing techniques and legislation affecting real estate.
On a personal level, Denise is a board member for American Youth Soccer Organization and a member of San Carlos Chamber of Commerce. She is also active in her church, serving on various committees. She devotes time to non-profit organizations throughout San Mateo county and is currently hoping to obtain park land for youth sport fields. She also serves as a county commissioner on the HEART board which provides provides opportunities for first time buyers to purchase homes which HEART assists in building. Giving back to her community is her way of saying "thank you" to those who give to her. Professional Philosophy Denise's professional slogan is transitioning from "Simply the Best" (and she is) to "Focused on YOUR Goals". Her goals of serving her clients in the manner which will enhance their quality of life while eliminating stress in the transaction and watching the "bottom line" are met in every single transaction. "I want my clients to be my clients forever, not for just this one transaction" says Denise. Her new slogan reflects her desire to be simply the best and to exceed your expectations. "If I exceed their expectations I know they will be back the next time they need real estate help...and they might even bring their friends and family," she smiles.
